Set in the heart of the national park, le parc naturel du Verdon, the Monastère de Ségriès is a former Cistercian monastery which has been converted into a guest house that is not only convivial but tranquil for your group’s stay.

Le monastère de Ségriès, where everything is possible, or nearly …

Some of the many places in which to while away your time includes the cloister and its fountain, the garden surrounded by trees that are centuries old, the vegetable garden and, of course, the swimming pool. There are also numerous halls and rooms as well as a chapel for you to use at your leisure.

Decorated in a simple yet elegant fashion, the monastery has 25 en-suite rooms; each a true haven of intimacy and the perfect place to unwind.

Your taste buds will never forget the delectable dishes made by Christophe, our chef, and his team. Carefully tailored to the needs of each group, Christophe offers a varied menu using fresh produce harvested from our very own vegetable garden.

Your guests will be delightfully surprised by this original, tranquil and uniquely enchanting venue. Set in 8 hectares, the grounds of the monastery boast their amphitheater, chapel, cloister, and gardens. The monastery can accommodate large groups.

The atmosphere here is ideal for work and relaxation. The monastery combines conviviality with comfort for your seminars, conferences and team-building activities. It is located 6km from the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a 45-minute drive from Manosque and a 1 hour and 15-minute drive from Aix-en-Provence.

Ségriès is a versatile venue that lends itself well to a wide variety of courses and workshops such as language immersion programs; art, music and dance workshops; personal development, yoga, and meditation retreats; or simply as a place to stay for teams attending a nearby sports event. Visit the ‘Courses & workshops’ page. At the bottom of the page, you will find our current schedule. Alternatively, feel free to contact us to organize your own event.

Le Monastère de Ségriès invites you to enjoy a wonderful stay in the heart of Haute-Provence. This former Cistercian monastery is located 6km from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a picturesque village known for its faience pottery. It is set in the heart of the national park, le Parc régional du Verdon, with beautiful Lac de Sainte-Croix, and Europe’s biggest canyons Gorges du Verdon, virtually on the doorstep. There are many sporting and cultural activities on offer in the area.
